ATHLETIC TRAINING SERVICES
Athletic Trainers (ATs) are health care professionals who have completed an Athletic Training degree program, consisting of either a Bachelor's or Master's Degree. ATs collaborate with physicians to provide services including: injury prevention, emergency care, clinical diagnosis, therapeutic intervention, and rehabilitation of injuries and medical conditions.
Athletic Trainers are NOT personal trainers! They undergo rigorous classroom study and clinical education in a variety of practice settings such as high schools, colleges/universities, hospitals, emergency rooms, physician offices and healthcare clinics.
INSTRUMENT ASSISTED SOFT TISSUE MOBILIZATION
Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (IASTM) incorporates a form of instruments, commonly known as Gua Sha or Graston, that enable the clinician to effectively detect and treat scar tissue and restrictions that affect normal function. IASTM encourages faster rehabilitation/recovery and resolves chronic conditions thought to be permanent by separating and breaking down adhesions and scar tissue while stretching connective tissue and muscle fibers. 30 minute treatment.
Sports massage is the specific application of massage techniques, range of motion or flexibility protocols and strength-training principles utilized to achieve a specific goal when treating an athlete.
DEEP TISSUE MASSAGE
Deep tissue massage is a type of massage therapy that focuses on targeting deeper layers of muscles. It is used for chronic aches and pain and contracted areas such as a stiff neck and upper back, low back pain, leg muscle tightness, and sore shoulders.
